Recipes by a 4 year old- Microwaveable popcorn

Take a brand new microwave and a bag of microwaveable popcorn. Add a hungry 4 year old. Set timer for 5 minutes and see the results:

That last one is a close up on the actual popcorn. Appetizing, no?

Just a note, it has been a couple months and I have cleaned that microwave over and over. It is permanently stained yellow.

Tune in next time where I expound on some unusual uses for legos. Just a warning, don't come with a full stomach.

  1. That is really sad. One time I left a candle burning in a small half bathroom at college for a whole weekend. Let me tell you how fun it was to clean that at the end of the year...the whole bathroom was black.

  2. Thanks for the warning.

Just so you know, the yellow might not go away, but the smell does.

    Eventually.

  3. I disagree with Nobody. We had the same incident. The smell never went away. Even when we left the microwave outside to air out for a few weeks. I could always smell it. We ended up having to get a new microwave.

  5. Wow...who knew popcorn could be so destructive? I'm a little OCD about my microwave cleanliness, so I'll have to watch out for that one! Cute four-year-old though!

  6. Honestly only 5 min isn't so bad. It could have been a lot worse. How did the house smell afterwards?

  7. Mmmm. Carcinogens. Yum! Have you tried a baking soda and water paste? There isn't much that won't clean.
