Last Saturday my grandmother died and I went on an unexpected trip to Utah for the funeral. Luckily Peter had no shifts scheduled, so he stayed home with all the kids (a big thanks to my friend,
Twinlinebackers, for watching my preschoolers Wed. while he had meetings). Anyway, I came back very late last night (actually very early this morning) and have a lot to catching up to do, not to mention a few posts running through my head. Thought I would just give a heads up.
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Glad you made it back home safely. Hope you are finding peace.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you could make time for a visit while you were here. I just wish it were under different circumstances. As I thought about the time that took away from your family/relatives who were presumably also gathered here for the funeral, I was grateful that we got you for a few hours. I love that you and I can just pick up after five years and talk about whatever. Of course, the blogging helps it not seem like you are across the country!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm glad it worked out as well as it could for your husband and the kids.
ReplyDeleteI wondered why I didn't have any funny posts to read! But you had a good reason- so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'm glad you were able to go to Utah for the funeral.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. I'm glad that you were able to go out for the funeral and hope that in spite of the reason for going, you still had a good break. :-)
